The new “The Catch”
If you didn’t catch the Superbowl this weekend, you missed a great game! Well, maybe a GREAT 4th quarter. I kinda wanted to witness the Patriots pull off the perfect season, but it’s not really fair to see such talent all on one team (Brady, Moss, Bruschi, Seau, etc). Somehow the NY Yankees come to mind. Anyway, I wanted the Giants to win so I was impressed with their solid defense and how they kept the Patriots at bay and pressured Brady constantly. Well, when it came down to the last 5 minutes of the game, NE scored making the score 14-10 NE. Here comes Eli Manning with all their timeouts. He built an impressive drive with a couple 3rd down and longs and a 4th and 1. With 1:15 left in the game, 3rd and 5, Eli somehow manages to break out of at least 2 Patriots’ grasp, broke free, and chucked the ball maybe 40+ yards to David Tyree who had 4 Pats surrounding him. Check out the video:
Sorry for the poor quality – I video taped this from my HDV Sony pointed at my plasma. Yes, I do have some video-in hardware, but didn’t want to set all that up to capture a 2 min clip. Oh, and you should turn up the volume as mine wasn’t loud enough when I taped the TV.
Enjoy,
SteveO
